This website is operated by الثالثة والثلاثون للاستشارات (The 33rd Group), a firm registered in the Syrian Arab Republic and operating from Damascus. The firm trades publicly as The 33rd Advisory and The 33rd Solutions; both are the same legal entity.

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

We may change these terms. The version published here at the time you use the site is the version that applies to that use.

02What this site is, and is not

This website describes what our firm does. It does not give advice, and reading it does not make you a client.

Nothing on this site is legal, financial, tax, investment, accounting, or other professional advice, and nothing on it should be relied upon in making a decision. Our work is advisory in nature, and advice only means anything when it is given against a specific set of facts that we have examined. A public webpage has examined nothing.

If you need our judgment on a matter, engage us. Until an engagement agreement is signed by both parties, no client relationship exists and we owe you no professional duty.

03Contacting us through this site

Sending us a message through the contact form does not create a client relationship, does not oblige us to act, and does not oblige us to reply. We read what arrives; we respond to what we can take.

Information you send through the form is not covered by professional confidentiality until we have accepted an engagement. Please do not send confidential or commercially sensitive material through this website. If a matter requires confidentiality, say so and we will agree a suitable channel before you send anything further.

You confirm that anything you send us is accurate as far as you know, is yours to send, and does not infringe anyone else's rights or breach any duty of confidence you owe to another party.

04Fees and proposals

This website carries no prices and makes no offer capable of acceptance. Our fees are fixed for each engagement and are set out in a written proposal issued to you directly.

A proposal we issue is confidential to you, is valid for the period stated on its face, and does not become binding on us until it is countersigned by both parties. Nothing on this website varies, overrides, or forms part of any proposal or engagement agreement. Where this site and a signed engagement agreement conflict, the engagement agreement governs entirely.

05Our material

Everything on this site — the text, the layout, the design, the marks, the name "The 33rd Group", the Arabic name "الثالثة والثلاثون للاستشارات", the raven device, and the associated identity — belongs to us or is used by us under licence. It is protected by the intellectual property laws of the Syrian Arab Republic and by international convention.

You may

• Read the site, and print or save individual pages for your own reference.
• Quote a short extract, provided you attribute it to The 33rd Group and do not alter its meaning.
• Link to the site from another site, provided the link is fair, does not suggest an association or endorsement that does not exist, and does not present our material within a frame as though it were yours.

You may not

• Reproduce, republish, or redistribute any substantial part of the site for commercial purposes.
• Use our name, marks, or identity in any way suggesting a relationship, endorsement, or partnership that does not exist.
• Systematically extract or harvest the site's content by automated means, including scraping for the purpose of training or fine-tuning a machine learning model.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or any system connected to it, introduce anything malicious, or interfere with its availability to others.

08Our liability to you

The site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent permitted by the law of the Syrian Arab Republic, we exclude all warranties, conditions, and representations that are not expressly stated in these terms, whether implied by statute, custom, or otherwise.

We are not liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated saving, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or from reliance on anything published on it.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the law of the Syrian Arab Republic. This section does not limit any liability we may have to a client under a signed engagement agreement; that agreement sets out its own terms.

09Your responsibility to us

If you use this site in breach of these terms and a third party brings a claim against us as a result, you agree to indemnify us against the reasonable costs and losses we incur in dealing with that claim.

10Personal information

We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Please read it before using the contact form.

11General

• If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues in force.
• If we do not enforce a provision on one occasion, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
• These terms are between you and us. No one else may enforce them.
• These terms are published in Arabic and English. In the event of a discrepancy between the two, the Arabic version governs.

12Governing law

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of this website, are governed by the laws of the Syrian Arab Republic. The competent courts of Damascus have exclusive jurisdiction.
